KAI

ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

KAI – meaning ocean or water, was originally inspired by the South Pacific / Bali Hai: Of water | the color blue | water rippling outward. The Austinist praised KAI as “…refreshing and pleasant…with languid fluidity and slightly off-kilter angles and movements, this water-themed exercise in exoticism captures the spirit and immensity of the ocean while drawing a delicate picture of human emotion.”

The Austinist

“[‘Kai’] displayed another ecosystem, slipperier, lively, and just as complex. Relationships were cool but symbiotic, matter of fact, purposeful. Between striped panels angled to evoke the hull of a ship…they moved as though propelled by currents, with changes in the lighting…eliciting the sun’s filtering at various depths. ”
